She is from Caracas. She graduated at UPEL-IPC in 2005, and got a degree as English Professor. She graduated with honor, achieving the Cum Laude Mention. In the same year, he made the Language Seminar "Subject not conducive to an academic degree.

Later, in the year 2006, she started at UPEL-IPC a mention in Master Education: Teaching of Literature in English, getting the degree in 2011. Professor Maria Teresa has worked as an English teacher from the third stage of basic education and secondary education, and professional. she has also worked as an English instructor teaching courses to staff of different companies.

In 2006, she was hired by the UPEL, Pedagogical Institute of Caracas to teach Grammar I, Grammar II and introduction to literature and culture of English-speaking countries. In 2007, she joined the staff full-time regular UPEL, Instituto Pedagógico de Caracas as part of the modern languages department, Grammar professor, teaching the following subjects: English II, Reading and Writing II, Grammar I, Grammar II , Introduction to Literature, ESP,. Academy Extension: creditable; "Library of English"


In 2009, he moved to Maturin to join the staff full-time regular UPEL, Pedagogical Institute of Maturin, in the Department of Linguistics, Academic Subjects: Grammar I, Grammar II, Reading and Writing, Introduction to Literature, Literature I, Methodology and Evaluation, Literature II, and Academy Extension: creditable; "conversation club"

Professor Maria Teresa has participated actively in the organization of various events presented at UPEL-Ipm, such as: III, IV, V, VI "Encuentro Interinstitucional de los Estudiantes de Cultura y Literatura de los Pueblos de Habla Inglesa”, and in the 1st and 2nd Spelling Bee Contest.

She has made a number of literary research, including: Post-colonial studies, Reception Aesthetics, Gender Studies.
