In 2006, she was hired by the UPEL, Pedagogical Institute of Caracas to teach Grammar I, Grammar II and introduction to literature and culture of English-speaking countries. Professor Maria Teresa has participated actively in the organization of various events presented at UPEL-Ipm, such as: III, IV, V, VI "Encuentro Interinstitucional de los Estudiantes de Cultura y Literatura de los Pueblos de Habla Inglesa”, and in the 1st and 2nd Spelling Bee Contest.
