Throughout her career she has been responsible for the effective, comprehensive development of her students.
As many English teachers of this institution, she studied at UPEL, she enrolled at UPEL in 1990 as an English student and she graduated in 1995. It did not pass much time when she became part of the teaching staff of the UPEL (UNIVERSIDAD PEDAGÓGICA EXPERIMENTAL LIBERTADOR). She began to work in 1997, but in 2001, she moved to Rousseau city to work there as a specialist teacher, specifically, at the commonwealth of Dominica.
She worked in Dominica for three years and in 2004 she decided to come back and continued working at the UPEL with subjects like; Linguistics, Grammatical topics and with the first levels, (English 1 to English 5) with all the skills; Listening, Speaking, Grammar and Reading and Writing.
Nowadays, Alejandra Suniaga has gotten a Master in Linguistics, throughout her career she has been known for being an active member of CETEX, UPEL MATURÍN, equally, she has an active membership of VENTESOL,
Alejandra Suniaga is not only renowned by her great performance as professor, but also, because she belonged to the university choir “Eugenio Gómez marcano” where she sang for 15 years, since 1995 to 2005
